And a little disclaimer here-I am a Christian, and I am a Pastor's wife, but I am <strong><em>not</em></strong> perfect. So, here goes:<br /></span><br /><span style="font-size:130%;"></span><span style="font-size:130%;"></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-family: Verdana; font-size: 11px; line-height: 20px; "><span id="fullpost"></span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-family: Verdana; font-size: 11px; line-height: 20px;"><br /></span><span style="font-size:130%;">I guess you could call me a troublemaker, or a bad apple, or even a black sheep. I just seem to have this knack for stirring up some sort of conflict, (mostly just within my family, not necessarily out in public) wherever I go. </span><br /><span style="font-size:130%;"></span><br /><span style="font-size:130%;"></span><br /><span style="font-size:130%;">Well, yesterday I got into a bit of a <s>disagreement</s> discussion with my Mother-in-Law over a choice word that I seem to utilize quite regularly in my vocabulary. The key word is "freaking" or "freakin" i.e. "Are you <em>freakin</em>' kidding?" or "I am <em>freaking</em> mad" etc. So you basically get the point, I'm not exactly dropping the f-bomb here, but I can understand how the word could be a little offensive to some. I am not a prude to words, I can take 'em as they come, of course I don't like to expose my kids to profanity, and I definitely don't want to hear any of them cursing like a sailor, but dangit, I enjoy my slang talk! </span><br /><span style="font-size:130%;"><br /></span><br /><p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnaKKChfLmtZYQ0W-1Ol7A-6CB85-Vem95R4B_W1jFoTKqZtN1WXySjwkJMvZcsugmdMXARnfKocSKCQw-rx1BySfk5wGefsmQpaeD5blM36OhsH7DHAY9iupIimgyvl5LxUgQeDM9-a8F/s1600-h/shhh.jpg"><span style="font-size:130%;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5334622412852260610" style="WIDTH: 127px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 106px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnaKKChfLmtZYQ0W-1Ol7A-6CB85-Vem95R4B_W1jFoTKqZtN1WXySjwkJMvZcsugmdMXARnfKocSKCQw-rx1BySfk5wGefsmQpaeD5blM36OhsH7DHAY9iupIimgyvl5LxUgQeDM9-a8F/s320/shhh.jpg" border="0" /></span></a></p><span style="font-size:130%;">I have come to the conclusion that I must refrain from using my "slang" vocabulary in public, and keep my potty mouth for behind closed doors only. I'm just curious if I'm the only naughty one who talks like this? And by the way, the word "fart" is used loosely in my daily vocab (I am the Mom of 3 boys, for crying out loud)!</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 18px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-family: Verdana; font-size: 11px; line-height: 20px; "></span></span><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-family: Verdana; font-size: 11px; line-height: 20px;"><br /></span></div>Lizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00604529460101074315noreply@blogger.com14tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5616914471960220417.post-12514012251430513022009-05-09T10:08:00.002-05:002009-05-09T10:10:35.404-05:00Motorola GPSThis is yet another shameless post to qualify myself for extra entries in a GPS giveaway. So, if you too must enter the Kodak Printer giveaway, then head over <a href="http://marcywrites.com/2009/05/03/how-would-you-like-to-print-and-prosper-give-away/comment-page-2/#comment-7576">here</a>, and enter, but do so at your own risk, for I will be watching. ;-)Lizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00604529460101074315noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5616914471960220417.post-79178998352911340012009-05-05T21:43:00.002-05:002009-05-05T21:48:02.116-05:00ChangesKeep your eyes peeled, and look for some changes coming soon! So to be in the top 10 category with these other outstanding "teams" (that generally have at least 100-200 members) really rocks!<br /></span><br /></p><p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBewYkwaWi9d7hrP22PjH7O9UiM3EW8oinpIpr5np23Ft8GgmXC2hOpY5NYR5L6nUbRQUb7z3Enbzjm-5IJzHkeoiS5Nm1F3VpBtYMSx3RTLwH2c1mqf-R33IEKU6_Pjc0fEvWJFdknT_b/s1600-h/435.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5329188198161251186" style="WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBewYkwaWi9d7hrP22PjH7O9UiM3EW8oinpIpr5np23Ft8GgmXC2hOpY5NYR5L6nUbRQUb7z3Enbzjm-5IJzHkeoiS5Nm1F3VpBtYMSx3RTLwH2c1mqf-R33IEKU6_Pjc0fEvWJFdknT_b/s320/435.JPG" border="0" /></a></p><p align="center">My Grandma, and Mika<br /></p><p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPqoimFXdYrHjFYP-7nRLU1NeTcbv1T9S5Sk356Xgileepj5nqOZ7u9ihEIf_Q3G42if5Bq5NFgADckNRmYWGUCwufgIiEpddknagViVtIl2GwwkLKwDAraIPZ8Jb6nvYtJckGHcyZoHor/s1600-h/440.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5329190918184698530" style="WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPqoimFXdYrHjFYP-7nRLU1NeTcbv1T9S5Sk356Xgileepj5nqOZ7u9ihEIf_Q3G42if5Bq5NFgADckNRmYWGUCwufgIiEpddknagViVtIl2GwwkLKwDAraIPZ8Jb6nvYtJckGHcyZoHor/s320/440.JPG" border="0" /></a></p><p align="center">Myself, and Judah </p><p align="left"><span style="font-size:130%;">The walk itself was enjoyable, and the music, food, and fun that went along with the experience were memorable as well. It is so sad, and my heart is hurting for both families. The Spohr Family live in California and lost their precious 17 month old daughter, <a href="http://www.remembermaddie.com/">Maddie</a> (who was born prematurely). Then, this past weekend I learned of the Myers family and the loss of their four month old little boy, Thalon.<br /><br />Both of these losses hit close to home, as they would for any mother. I am the Mother of a preemie, just as Heather Spohr, and I am preparing for my family March of Dimes Team, just as she has been for her family team. The overwhelming response from fellow Mom bloggers and supporters on the Internet have miraculously raised over $20,000 in memory of Maddie for her March of Dimes Team. This outpouring of love is awesome, and I have been amazed by all of those rallying around this family.<br /><br /><br /><p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiI6X7a0tpOAEipJ1L-kbOxZKEJQBevuCP87EFZuHwBPxIYoymlteyPpVoMSzQED2BaDr7O28GmodAx7V6gflK7EVjJOjzw9Vt7sZhnUcDduVyu_tNDv0jr3X-3h67lQ-LhlyjPyfN1dEXl/s1600-h/thalon.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5324601189636477906" style="WIDTH: 238px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiI6X7a0tpOAEipJ1L-kbOxZKEJQBevuCP87EFZuHwBPxIYoymlteyPpVoMSzQED2BaDr7O28GmodAx7V6gflK7EVjJOjzw9Vt7sZhnUcDduVyu_tNDv0jr3X-3h67lQ-LhlyjPyfN1dEXl/s320/thalon.jpg" border="0" /></a></p>I am not totally familiar with all of the details of the death of <a href="http://gorillabuns.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/04/thalon-bruce-myers.html">Thalon</a>, other than the fact that he had been ill. This family resides in Oklahoma, and just looking at the pictures of this sweet little baby boy brings tears to my eyes.<br /><br />I have kept both of these families in my prayers, as they face the unfathomable, and I will continue to pray for them. I just wanted to express my sympathy for these two families, and remember how thankful I should be for everyday I have with my own children.Lizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00604529460101074315noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5616914471960220417.post-34891012010234355032009-04-11T15:25:00.007-05:002009-04-11T17:50:33.831-05:00Life and a Passover Meal<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRuvtj1B0x8YdcvdPKL_zQN1YW5IM4KsGTcMpQozfrpNO0p6rHFXlYThDkdK49A_wyEjZLq71vHHJ0edxSfJflcwnVdgJ68U-2rXxDxz4girm48P-qZw_JyO5PRjZVI2VlyhOsZWRsoHTd/s1600-h/009.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323558336182628562" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRuvtj1B0x8YdcvdPKL_zQN1YW5IM4KsGTcMpQozfrpNO0p6rHFXlYThDkdK49A_wyEjZLq71vHHJ0edxSfJflcwnVdgJ68U-2rXxDxz4girm48P-qZw_JyO5PRjZVI2VlyhOsZWRsoHTd/s320/009.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><div>Well, our lives have been quite hectic this past week. We have had an eventful past several days, filled with many <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">occurrences</span>, otherwise known as LIFE. Just some of the things that have taken place are the death of a childhood friend, the birth of a new baby, (on my hubby's side of the family) a revival at our church, wildfires, (that came within feet of our church, and across the road from our home) and preparation for Easter.<br /><br />So, last night, after all of this, we sat down as a family and took part in our third annual Williams Family Passover (Seder) Meal, and then sat and watched The Passion of the Christ together. I have come to really look forward to this <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">tradition</span>, as it is really meaningful, and creates such a learning experience, especially for our older two children. So I look forward to our worship service tomorrow at church and know that I have so much to be thankful for, but the main <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhx5skr1-nLywYhsXtd-PSXOafrXCFJaU2cOuuRmCC3MkKFuaOFTWsO47YzOccRoc8AQqUyg_Jl9-IJWh8fT2LyxuLwEFi36FSAYnOiiPb9hIJm7ez6dIlpZFaETp23VBdzp25fyWSvIuSm/s1600-h/010.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323566187396942130" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhx5skr1-nLywYhsXtd-PSXOafrXCFJaU2cOuuRmCC3MkKFuaOFTWsO47YzOccRoc8AQqUyg_Jl9-IJWh8fT2LyxuLwEFi36FSAYnOiiPb9hIJm7ez6dIlpZFaETp23VBdzp25fyWSvIuSm/s320/010.JPG" border="0" /></a>praise I have to my Lord, is His sacrifice on the cross for my sins, it is such a beautiful thing. I love to read, and am a library junkie, totally. The thing is, I live in a rather small house with six people, so books take up too much room in our home. A Kindle would solve that issue instantly, by "housing" multiple books, available whenever I desire! When a newly released book is available, I can just click it onto my Kindle and read away. If I happen to finish reading a particular book in a series, and our local library doesn't happen to carry the sequel, (and we don't have any great bookstores in town) then I could just purchase for my Kindle, without any delays.<br /><br /><br /><br />Sounds great doesn't it? I am a bookworm, have been since I was a youngster, so I would love a Kindle, and hope I receive one from here: <a href="http://juliestratford.com/amazon-kindle-2-giveaway/">http://juliestratford.com/amazon-kindle-2-giveaway/</a>.Lizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00604529460101074315noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5616914471960220417.post-48956469044530846062009-04-07T09:37:00.004-05:002009-04-07T10:12:16.207-05:00Take Me Back Tuesday<p align="center"><a href="http://nateandjakeandme.blogspot.com/"><img src="http://web.me.com/mraceto/kari/tuesday/button.jpg" /></a></p><br /><br />Welcome to Take Me Back Tuesday! I have worked two days this week at Oak Hall (where my boys go to school) and taken Seth to Oklahoma City to get his hearing aid, so I feel like I haven't been at home hardly at all, just to sleep and run through the house cleaning up what I can as I go. I totally have respect for working Mothers with small children, after just a small taste of what that could be like, I realize how difficult it could be. I feel so fortunate to be a stay at home Mom, and I am very thankful for that.</p><div align="justify">On another note, I feel like I have neglected my blogs, and missed out on new information from my bloggy Mom friends. Of course this notion is kind of silly, as my husband always reminds me that I am not getting paid for any of my blogging (at least not in cash, not yet anyway) and that I need to plug-in to life, and turn off the computer, which is very true. So I have had a nice little unplugged couple of days, unless you count using my iPhone, which as great and wonderful as it is, it's still not the same as the real thing! I am signing off for now, we are watching a movie, and having some family time, but I will be back-Lord willing.</div>Lizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00604529460101074315noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5616914471960220417.post-11633201722852055362009-03-31T18:19:00.005-05:002009-03-31T19:06:07.243-05:00Take Me Back Tuesday<center><a href="http://nateandjakeandme.blogspot.com/"><img src="http://web.me.com/mraceto/kari/tuesday/button.jpg" /> </a></center><br />Welcome to Take Me Back Tuesday! She is by far my favorite lady on the NYC series, (which is strange, considering I would have the very least in common with her) and when I heard about her book that contains recipes, menus, and plain old-fashioned tips on "freeing yourself from a lifetime of dieting" I just couldn't resist. Being a former "skinny girl" myself, I am on a track to find out a-how to get skinny again, and b-why I became overweight in the first place. So, this week our menu will be guided by my favorite reality housewife from NYC (Bethenny) and I hope to see some results, while still satisfying my ever-hungry palate!<br /><br /><strong>Monday-</strong><a href="http://www.bethennybakes.com/mexican_chilli.html">Mexican Chili</a>, with sides of baked tortilla chips, and reduced fat cheese<br /><strong>Tuesday-</strong><a href="http://www.bethennybakes.com/chicken_tomato.htm">Goat Cheese/Sundried Tomato Chicken Breasts</a>, asparagus, salad, and zucchini<br /><strong>Wednesday</strong>-<a href="http://www.bethennybakes.com/lasagna.htm">Classic Bolognese Lasagna</a>, light garlic toast, salad<br /><strong>Thursday</strong>-<a href="http://www.bethennybakes.com/comfort_meatloaf.htm">Comfort Turkey Meatloaf</a>, healthy mashed cauliflower, whole grain rolls<br /><strong>Friday</strong>-<a href="http://www.bethennybakes.com/shrimp_scampi.htm">Shrimp Scampi</a>, Cous Cous, green beans<br /><strong>Saturday</strong>-<a href="http://www.bethennybakes.com/spinach_cannelloni.htm">Spinach Cannelloni</a>, salad<br /><strong>Sunday</strong>-Leftovers<br /><br />Wish me luck, cause my hubby might kill me after I make all of this "girly" food this week!Lizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00604529460101074315noreply@blogger.com8
