Just a Little Note
Thank you to all of you who voted on the Family Eden Contest a few days ago. They gave away three laptops at the twitter party last night, the three contests were Best Written Memory of 2008, Best Photo Memory of 2008, and Most Popular (hence the voting.) I lost the most popular vote by about 30 votes or so. But.......I won the Best Photo Memory of 2008!!! I really never expected to win in this category, but I am extremely excited, and so is my hubby (he gets a laptop now!) So, without further ado, here is the picture that won me the laptop:
Thanks Tristan!!!
P.S. If you are interested, Family Eden is already launching another giveaway of 2 laptops coming up soon, so check it out here!
Pediped Review
Pediped's children shoes are not only cute and stylish, but they are also a great quality product. My two youngest children have had a few pairs of Pedipeds, and I have always been very satisfied with these shoes. They seem to last forever, and are very durable, even when being worn by a rough and tumble toddler. The soft leather extends throughout the entire shoe, the sole included, and allows for the feeling of "the next best thing to bare feet."
The various styles, and colors of Pedipeds create versatility for your tot and can be worn for play, or for special dressy occasions. Of course, I have personally never worn these shoes myself, (I would if they came in my size) but my 3 year old daughter told me she loves Pedipeds, and they feel very "booty-bull" (I'll let you figure that one out!)
If your child already owns a pair of Pedipeds, then you know how wonderful these shoes are. If you have a cute picture of your little one wearing these shoes, then enter it here, for a chance to win a pair (as well as have your child's picture featured on their website) in Pedipeds monthly photo contest. Pedipeds can be purchased in many boutiques, as well as ordered online. Please check out Pediped's website to look through all of the cute shoes, and pick out a pair or two for your little one!
Skin MD Natural Lotion Review
I have been given the opportunity to try Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion. I have personally been suffering from extremely dry hands, and cracked knuckles this winter, and I have tried many different lotions that don't keep my hands moisturized very well. When the Skin MD Shielding lotion arrived, I was very anxious to try it out, and see if it could relieve my chronic winter dryness.
First of all I noticed that the lotion had a silky feeling, and went on smooth, (not oily,) yet it also wasn't too thick and goopy. I also noticed that this lotion doesn't have a strong scent, which is a plus for many because sometimes the smell of a lotion can be too overwhelming. Another benefit of the Skin MD lotion is that it only takes a very small amount of lotion for each application. The instructions on the lotion say to apply every 2 to 8 hours until you notice the dryness start to subside, then continue every 12 to 24 hours thereafter. After the first day of use, I noticed a difference, especially in my knuckles, which had been so badly cracked. The dryness has subsided, and know my hands feel more soft and smooth.
After reading some information from the Skin MD Natural website I wanted to share the following:
A Shielding Lotion is far more effective as a dry skin treatment than conventional moisturizing lotions or protective creams. If you suffer from dry skin, you know that just using a moisturizing lotion doesn't solve the problem. A shielding lotion does much more than just treat dry skin – it’s a new kind of skin care product that makes a real difference to all skin types.
This lotion is also quite effective for those who suffer from eczema, psoriasis, and other pesky skin problems. I would recommend this lotion to anyone who is looking for a healing and protecting moisturizer for their skin. (Even my Mom, who is quite the lotion connoisseur, was impressed when she sampled some of this lotion!)
Please, Once Again
Attention, my wonderful, loyal readers and friends, I have a simple request from you all! It doesn't sound too obvious that I was trying to butter you up does it? Well, after everyone came through for me last month on the Blog Radio naming contest, (which thanks to everyone who voted, my choice won) I have one other request from y'all. I have entered a Memories of 2008 Contest at Family Eden, and the prize is a Toshiba Laptop. I do have a laptop of my own, but hubby is using a 1990's model computer in his office at church because we really haven't been able to afford to get him a laptop or even an updated desktop, like we were hoping to. I am humbly asking, (okay begging) for you to go here, and click on the picture of the camera (which is on the shelf under the television), then click on the first picture on the album for Lizzydear's Memories of 2008 photo album, and vote please(so I can hopefully win this laptop for hubby!) Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! If you have any questions for me, either leave me a comment, and I will check back, or shoot me an email! Thanks again guys! Y'all totally Rawk.
P.S. Did I mention that time is of the essence, since this contest ends tomorrow, (and the winner will be announced via a Twitter party tomorrow night!) Thanks
Wordless Wednesday
Here is a picture of my sweet, 74 year old Grandma, holding my youngest, Judah. She has recently had to get a job (she is an L.P.N.) to help make ends meet, and she deals with a lot considering my Papa has Alzheimers that is just getting worse every day. Sorry this post ended up not being so "wordless".....
Custom Blog Design
I would really love a custom blog design, not that I totally dislike my blog now, it is probably just fine, but it would be pretty fun to have my own, sweet, custom design, with matching button! Okay, I am sure you figured it out by now, I have entered to win a custom blog makeover at For the Love of Baby (you can enter too, if you want.) At the very least, go check out ABOG and look around. Very cool giveaway, and very talented blog designer!
Giveaways Coming!
Attention Readers: stay tuned, because next week I will be posting a couple of reviews and will be hosting giveaways as well, thanks to my lovely sponsors! The first review/giveaway will be your choice of a cute pair of shoes from See Kai Run. They have some really cute shoes for your little ones! The second giveaway is for the Mamas! That is all I'm saying for now, but keep your eyes peeled and watch so you can take part and maybe win some pretty cool things!
Mom-2-Mom Blog Radio Show
I have really enjoyed listening to a few different blog talk radio programs recently. If I can't make it to the live cast, then I just download it as a podcast onto my mp3 player and listen when I have a chance. The show that I named (with the help of everyone who voted) is starting back up tomorrow at 12 noon CST, so if you are interested, tune in here, or even download it later to listen to if you want. These 2 Moms deliver some fun information, and accept callers during the show. I will add some of my other favorite shows later, but for now check out Mom-2-Mom!
Menu Plan Monday
Okay time for the Menu, and this week hubby and I are doing Weight Watchers! So, the meal plan might seem a little healthier, or a least lower in calories.
